About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver to join our Night Shift Intake Team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the efficient movement, grading, storage, and dispatch of stock within a fast-paced operational environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining stock flow, supporting production activities, and ensuring high standards of health, safety, and hygiene are upheld at all times.

A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is essential for this position. Applications without a current FLT licence will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating a forklift truck safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
  • Feeding and tipping the grading line, ensuring a smooth flow of stock and selecting products as required.
  • Removing empty containers and transporting them to designated box yard locations.
  • Boxing down graded stock, ensuring accurate weighing and labelling using company systems.
  • Stacking and storing products within the FIFO (First In, First Out) storage area in the required format to support accurate stock control.
  • Supporting other departments as required through the provision of FLT cover and operational assistance.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and hygiene, following a \"clean as you go\" approach.
  • Completing hygiene schedules and contributing to a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures and reporting any hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Valid and current Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
  • Previous experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse, production, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach and willingness to support different operational activities.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within food production, warehousing, or distribution environments.
  • Knowledge of stock control and FIFO procedures.
